Trolley Tour at Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum
Climb aboard the trolley and enjoy a gentle journey through the rolling landscapes of Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum. This guided tour highlights the people, places, plants and practices that have shaped Bellefontaine for generations. Along the way you’ll discover notable stories from St. Louis history, learn about the Cemetery’s living Arboretum, and gain insight into funerary traditions that honor memory and meaning.
Thoughtful, scenic, and full of surprises, this tour offers a deeper look at one of the region’s most remarkable spaces.
Tour Notes:
- Seating is limited and tickets are required.
- There is a limit of four RSVP per registering individual. For groups larger than four, we suggest setting up a private tour. Call the Cemetery office at 314-381-0750.
- We ask that everyone arrive at least 15 minutes early for a prompt departure.
- The trolley is climate controlled, but weather-appropriate clothing is suggested as opportunities to disembark from the vehicle are available.
Trolley tour tickets are free with a suggested donation of $5 each. You may also make a gift at the event. Your gift allows us to cover trolley expenses. Proceeds support the Friends of Bellefontaine and benefit the Cemetery’s community support programs like Angels Rest, historic preservation, and educational tours.
