Horticulture Class: Floriography, the Language of Flowers | Winter Session
Join Horticulturist Payton Stutte to explore the Victorian Era practice
of floriography, or the language of flowers, through the lens of the
winter season. Participants will learn the meanings and symbolism behind
seasonal blooms, evergreens, and natural materials traditionally used
in winter arrangements. After a brief slide presentation, you’ll have
the opportunity to create your own unique winter wreath that conveys a
personal floriography message—perfect for decorating your home or giving
as a gift. All materials and supplies are provided
It is free to attend with a suggested donation of $15 per person. Space is limited and registration is required.
- Please wear appropriate walking attire and dress for the season.
- Please arrive at the main entrance between 15 to 20 minutes before class time for a prompt departure.
