Sunday Trolley Tour at Bellefontaine

This two-hour Trolley Tour is inspired by a historic 1944 tour created by historian John A. Bryan. During World War II, the National Park Service hosted Sunday afternoon talks at the Old Courthouse to encourage alternatives to automobile use.

These historical talks covered local homes, churches, businesses, the 1904 World's Fair site, and Bellefontaine Cemetery. Because the Bellefontaine presentation was the most popular of the series, BCA created a booklet for a self-guided tour of the grounds.

On this tour, you will follow those exact historical steps from the comfort of a climate-controlled trolley, led by the Cemetery Chronicler.

Arrival Instructions:

  • 🏠 Please enter the grounds at 4947 W. Florissant Ave.
  • 🚗 Staff and volunteers will guide you to parking and the Willow Gate House to begin the tour.

Tickets are $5 each. Your gift allows us to cover trolley expenses. Proceeds support the Friends of Bellefontaine and benefit the Cemetery’s community support programs like Angels Rest, historic preservation, and educational tours.

This tour will fill to capacity quickly, so make sure you register today!
