GRACIE GRIFFIN

Vice President of Customer Relations

As VP of Customer Relations, I work closely with families and individuals to plan green burial and cremation funeral services, purchase graves, lots, and memorialization, and educate about green funeral options and the importance of pre-planning.  In addition, I work closely with the rest of our leadership team to shape our customer offerings and programs.

Before joining Bellefontaine Cemetery in 2012, I was a teacher and academic sales representative.  After experiencing the death of a loved one in 2011, I felt a strong pull to help others in similar circumstances.  My new role at Bellefontaine Cemetery offered this and provided a depth of purpose to my career for which I still remain grateful.

Working directly with our families has been exceedingly rewarding, but I have also found an affinity for delivering talks to groups in the St. Louis area.  My presentations focus on green burial, pre-planning, and consumer awareness.  It feels good to inform and entertain people while addressing often uncomfortable topics.  I derive great satisfaction in knowing I’ve empowered people to make informed decisions that will help ease burdens on those they love when the time comes.

In my time at BCA we have experienced a renaissance as a cemetery, an organization, and a destination.  I’m proud to have been a part of growing our green burial program, extending our reach to more families, promoting end-of-life education, establishing our funeral program, improving our processes and services for families, and many other milestones.  I look forward to continuing this rewarding work into the future.

When not in the North office, I enjoy looking for unusual and old headstones throughout the grounds.  It is neat to consider the meaning behind them and the lives they represent.  I also enjoy walking the stream in our Wildwood Valley Gardens.  I find the sound of the water soothing, and enjoy how the plants, butterflies, and bees bring the area to life.
