LACEY REINHARDT
Event and
Volunteer Coordinator
Born and raised near Bellefontaine, Lacey first joined as a volunteer, guiding tours and helping with events. After years of involvement — and a transformative moment observing a green burial — she knew this was her calling.
She holds certifications as a Death Doula and a Licensed Funeral Director, which help her balance the educational and compassionate aspects of her work. In her role, she plans and coordinates tours and events and oversees volunteer recruitment and training.
One of her favorite moments was leading a field trip for a “Death & Dying” class and seeing students fully engaged in the cemetery’s stories. She also champions Bellefontaine’s ecological and historical missions—working toward projects like a DarkSky night‑lighting designation and new programming on funerary history.
Outside of work, Lacey enjoys visiting other cemeteries, advocating for end‑of‑life education, and exploring the old carriage paths at Bellefontaine—imagining how past visitors experienced the grounds. She also cares for three pet rabbits at home.
Her goal is to expand educational offerings and further connect Bellefontaine’s heritage, nature, and community.
